When storing your jewellery between wears, keep each piece individually in a small zip-lock bag, sealed tightly with as much air removed as possible. Alternatively, you may leave your piece in a jewellery dish exposed to open air.
Both methods help to reduce natural tarnishing, which can occur due to sulphur compounds present in the air and environment (also known as oxidation).
Avoid wearing jewellery while sleeping, swimming, bathing, washing up, cleaning, using chemicals, or engaging in sports and heavy-duty activities.
Always put jewellery on last when getting ready to minimise contact with chemicals found in perfumes, hair products, and beauty products.
Ensure that all plated jewellery pieces remain completely dry at all times.
For plated jewellery, please note that due to the delicate nature of gold plating and the frequency of wear, pieces may require re-plating periodically to maintain their original appearance.
Plating wearing off or tarnishing is a natural part of use and is not considered a manufacturing fault.
The longevity of the plating can be affected by individual skin acidity, as well as how the jewellery is worn and stored. For solid gold or silver pieces, an annual professional clean and polish at Natasha Schweitzer is recommended.
We recommend having your jewellery professionally cleaned and serviced with us at least once per year to keep your pieces in excellent condition.
General cleaning and polishing is available complimentary in our boutiques for any Natasha Schweitzer piece. We also offer re-plating, polishing, and deep-cleaning services for a fee, which are carried out in our workshop.

All Natasha Schweitzer items come with a six-month warranty from the purchase date, covering all manufacturing faults. Proof of purchase must be provided. Please note, if you take one of our pieces to another jeweller, this warranty will be voided.
Please note, manufacturing faults do not include: damage or wear and tear, oxidised or fading plating, broken or tangling chain, cracked or broken stones or pearls, or bending of rings or earrings.
To request a repair, please visit our Repairs Portal and submit your details, images of the piece and any additional information that will help with an assessment.
Once submitted, our Customer Care team will be in touch with instructions for sending your piece to our studio for assessment. Following review by our jewellers, you will receive an outline of the required work, along with a quote for approval, if necessary.
Once approved, please allow approximately 10–15 business days for completion.
